Forte Catering & Events at the Launch of the Sydney Festival 2010!
Over nine hundred guests attended a VIP launch party of Sydney Festival 2010 at the State Theatre. Dignitaries included the Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir, NSW State Premier, The Honourable Mr Nathan Rees and the Honourable Lord Mayor, Councillor, Clover Moore.
Our Head Chef, designed a menu around the Festival’s new unifying emblem, a yellow balloon – a symbol of hope, optimism, renewal and ideas.
Using this as his inspiration, he rose to the occasion with canapés including black sesame tartlets, Woodside goat’s curd & pickled golden beets; golden corzetti with yellow piperade and baby basil; toasted brioche, buffalo mozzarella and saffron apples; golden tobiko and ginger dressed Angassi oysters. This was followed with sweet treats consisting of lemon, mango and orange macaroons and mini lemon and mango gelato cones.
Sydney Festival and Forte have been catering partners for the last three years, constantly finding new ways to recreate the unique magic for which Sydney Festival is renowned.
