Venue: Pier 2/3, Dawes Point

Forte was selected to showcase a range of innovative food creations and themes for the 18th Biennale of Sydney. The Asahi Bar was an exciting part of this multi-faceted event and Forte designed a menu to mirror the funky event which included art installations and some of Sydney’s best DJs.

The Biennale is Australia’s largest and most exciting contemporary visual arts event, it presents a three month exhibition with an accompanying program of artist talks, performances, forums, family events and other special productions.

One of the venues, The Biennale Bar interlaced stunning artworks, Forte’s fine food and Asahi Beer to produce an outstanding Friday night affair during the month of August at Pier 2/3.

Executive Chef, Anthony Sullivan, selected the artistry of a live cooking station within the venue, creating a traditional Catalan Paella brimming with ocean king prawns, black lip mussels and Spanish chorizo. This was served straight from the hot paella pan to a range traditional yet stylistic clay dishes which were loved by all the guests.

Forte’s skilled team expertly managed the innovative bar installation serving Asahi beer & Yerling Station wine to delighted guests each night.
